Don't drive, ...work from the hive!

Dedicated to helping the world reduce driving.

Benefits

Reducing traffic congestion reduces driving stress.

Fewer breakdowns per year.

Safer breakdowns in less traffic.

More open roads mean faster speeds ...perhaps even approaching the speed limit.

Less dependence upon foreign imports.

Less miles means less maintenance.

Less demand upon our refinerys.

A reduction in pollution.

Less demand may result in lower prices.

Less driving means less spent on gas.

Freight moving more efficiently and faster could lower the price of goods.

Less need for new exploration.

A reduced burden for the generations to come. It may even reduce our use of paper as we become more used to using the computer for creating and viewing documents.

The benefits of working at home are huge! Driving to and from a job which could be done in the home environment is harmful to us all. It wastes petroleum or other energy resources, cause traffic congestion, costs the worker time, and usually increases pollution.

It is time to get the word out to employers and put a stop to necessary driving to and from work. If you are sitting in an office working on a computer there is little reason why you should not be doing so from home. For the individual, working at home or from the hive is perhaps the most effective thing which can be done to slow down our use of energy and waste of time.

Less time spent on the roadways may even reduce the total highway accidents and fatalities.

Talk to your employer about working at home (if he says "no", sting him on the butt!) The software needed is available, and with an inexpensive video cam your employer will still be able to look over your shoulder to help or keep an eye on productivity.

This web site may help by providing links and information. Links to software which may facilitate working from home and statistics which may help convince others of the merit of it. Perhaps even a few links to stay at home jobs or business will be found here in the very near future.

We may also post some kudos for those companies who already have such work from home programs in place.

We will also try and add some interactive features such as a message board or forum or anything else which may help us overcome the problems encountered.

Any donation would help us to stay alive and spread the word. Contact us if you want to help in some other way. We would appreciate any advertising opportunities and promise to give credit where credit is deserved. Linking to us would also be great!

After all, we will all Bee better off...
